At XO Health, we focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of health challenges.  Our comprehensive approach offers personalized, whole-person care for those with complex health issues and those looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We recognize that when we start to work with a new patient there is an intense time at the outset where there is more time and testing necessary to uncover the contributors to a person's current challenges.

We request all new patients begin with a commitment to work more intensely in our first year together. Thus new patients must enroll at a Silver or higher package for the first year.

Becoming a Patient

The Readiness Assessment and Case Review 

The Readiness Assessment is designed to evaluate your current preparedness to make the lifestyle changes that may be essential for achieving your health goals.

After completing the Readiness Assessment, you’ll receive an email with a link to the next step: a more comprehensive medical history and self-assessment, which we refer to as the Case Review. This review is intentionally in-depth and likely unlike anything you’ve completed before. It’s designed to go beyond surface-level symptoms and help you and Dr. Brossfield uncover the root causes of your health concerns.

Portal Access

Once your case review is complete, we will handle the administrative steps, including signing consent forms and providing access to the Member Portal.

The Member Portal has been designed to facilitate secure communication between you and the clinic, providing direct access to Dr. Brossfield and Kirsten. Samantha will guide you through this process and practice communication with you to ensure you are comfortable with the system before your first visit with Dr. B. 

 

Your First Appointment

After Dr. Brossfield reads your case review and determines that we may be of help in your health journey, you will be scheduled for an appointment to discuss your history in detail. At this visit, Dr. Brossfield will gather a more complete history and time-line of your exposures and experiences. She will also confirm the information you have shared with us so that we have a clear priority list based on your concerns.

This visit is usually about 60 minutes long and will conclude with directions on next steps to uncover more information about your current condition and the contributors to your current situation. Often Dr. Brossfield makes a starting suggestion on life-style adjustments and she may ask you to have a visit with Kirsten, our health coach to support the foundational habits of healing. 

Your Second Appointment

Your second visit will include a review of labs and information gathered and together we will form an action plan to implement with support. Dr. Brossfield usually sees patients about every 3-4 months to support and adjust your program.

Membership Plans

The anticipated consultation time and support for your care determines the level of membership recommended. Ongoing support includes a combination of in-person and virtual visits, group visits, and portal communication called “tickets” with our team.

Frequent touchpoints are built in to accommodate a close partnership with Dr. Brossfield to avoid cycling through major health swings. Complex couples and larger families with one or more family members facing complex issues will also fit into this plan.

25 Member Credits

Platinum Members receive all Gold benefits as well preferred appointment access. 
This membership level is designed for individuals who have multiple and very complex health issues and/or desire unparalleled access to a functional medicine MD. Due to the nature of this membership, the Platinum level is limited to 10 patients. ​

Consultation & Assessment

If you are not ready to become a member or if you need just an in-depth consultation, we offer a limited, non-member option for $1,450 that provides an in-depth history and consultation with Dr. Brossfield who will then order testing as indicated by your presenting concerns. 

When the lab or imaging tests are completed you will meet with Dr. Brossfield to review the results and she will provide a summary and beginning action plan to address the health concerns discovered. 

There is no ongoing care at that point unless you choose to become a member. 

Additional Membership Details

What are Member Credits?

Membership credits primarily translate to consulting time you can “spend” as part of your membership and provide you with the flexibility to connect with Dr. Brossfield and our health coaches, using the avenue that works best for you.

For example, some people prefer using most of their time for in-person appointments; whereas others like to spend more of their credits toward online support to ask ongoing questions of Dr. B or our health coaches.

1 credit equals 1 hour of consulting time with Dr. Brossfield, whereas 1 credit equals 2 hours of consulting time with Kristin, our health coach.

Up to 25% of your purchased credits can be “rolled over” to your next year’s plan if you continue care with XO Health as a member.

Members may purchase additional credits or renew their membership early if they need more time in their program.

How do I Maximize my ​Credits?

There are a number of member benefits that do not reduce your credit balance; from member group events to live Q&A educational seminars.

In addition, participating in group clinic visits to discuss health issues and strategies common to the group, or other classes and educational opportunities will only deduct 1/4 to 1/2 of a credit. 

For example, group visits that generally last between 60-90 minutes only “cost” .25 (¼) of a credit. A unique aspect of Dr. Brossfield’s practice is the vast library of video education that is available to members only.

This education is designed to elevate a member’s understanding of their health issues. Dr. Brossfield “prescribes” specific videos to patients so members can maximize their appointment time since Dr. B is not wasting time “covering the basics” that are addressed in the video education.​
